Sebastian Marszałowicz


A graduate of the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (2006).


 In 2014, he graduated with honors from the Vocal and Acting Department in the singing class of Professor Piotr Kusiewicz at the Academy of Music in Krakow. He continued his vocal education with Jacek Ozimkowski and Dariusz Grabowski.


During the first studies, he joined the H. Kołłątaj’s Choir of the Agricultural University in Kraków, where as a chorister and soloist he discovered an interest in classical music. Together with the Chorus, he gave concerts in Poland and abroad and recorded three CDs: Where you hear singing, go there ... and Vivat Academia (2006) under the baton of Joanna Gutowska - Kuźmicz and Song of the Katyn families (Pomaton EMI 2008) under the baton of Włodzimierz Siedlik.


Participant of the Summer Academy of Singing course organized by the Chair of Vocal Studies at the Music Academy Stanisław Moniuszko in 2009 in Gdańsk. Participant of Michał Znaniecki's course in 2013 in Krakow. Participant of the master class of the outstanding singing teacher Charlotte Lehmann in 2014 in Krakow. Participant of the Thomas Heyer course during the International Master Courses for them. Jan Kiepura in Sosnowiec in 2016.


Winner of the Polish Artists Stage Association Award Warsaw Branch at the Belcanto 2010 Festival in Nałęczów.


In 2013, he took part in the recordings of Dominik Pietraszka's album Lament to the Victims of Katyn 2010.


He collaborated with the Polish Radio Choir in Krakow. In the years 2011-2012 he was a member of the Kraków Philharmonic choir - 2 bass. In 2013, he took part in 22 performances of Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss, during the Schlossfestspiele festival in Schwerin as a chorister (2 bass) and an actor.


As a soloist, he performed, among others in the Requiem of W. A. ​​Mozart with the Promusica Agency, giving concerts in Halle, Dresden and Opole, he was the imitator of the role of Garibaldo, with distinction in  G. F. Haendel's Rodelinda  - during his studies at the Academy of Music in Krakow. In 2015, he appeared in the role of Sarastro in W. A. ​​Mozart's The Magic Flute in Gdansk, and also took part in the opera-theatrical spectacle The Queen of Fairies: A Midsummer Night's Dream based on H. Purcell's music directed by Michał Znaniecki, where he created Oberon, Hymena, and the Drunken Poet.


 He cooperated, among others with pedagogues - Piotr Kusiewicz, Jacek Ozimkowski, Dariusz Grabowski, Jerzy Michno, Charlotte Lehmann, Ryszard Karczykowski; with conductors - Paul Esswood, Daniel Huppert, Jerzy Sobeńko, Marek Tracz, Krzysztof Penderecki, Włodzimierz Siedlik, Łukasz Borowicz, and Joanna Gutowska - Kuźmicz; Tomasz Tokarczyk; directors - Michał Znaniecki, Peter Dehler, Monika Rasiewicz, Przemysław Klonowski.


He debuted on the stage with the role of Dziemba in S. Moniuszko's Halka at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.

From February 2018, he cooperates with the Krakow Chamber Opera (Uberto in La serva padrona, Colas in Bastien und Bastienne). In April 2018, he made his debut at the Warsaw Chamber Opera as Osmin in W. A. ​​Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail.

He collaborates with the Obligato Strauss Orchestra (including a concert at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw in 2016).


From September 2018, he is a opera soloist of the Krakow Opera.
