Justyna Ilnicka

She began her musical education playing the flute at Bukowski State Secondary Music School in Wrocław, Poland. She studied singing at the University of Music in Wrocław. She also took lessons from the famous Teresa Żylis- Gara. She continued her vocal education at Mozarteum University in Salzburg, studying alongside Prof. Ingrid Kremling and Hariklia Apostolu (coaching), specializing in Opera and Music Theater; also working with Prof. Wolfgang Holzmair for Lied and Oratorio. 

She is a laureate of the Antano Kucingis International Competition (Grand Prix) in Wilno, Lithuania and a prize holder of the National Karol Kurpinski Competition in Włoszakowice, Poland. Ilnicka received a scholarschip from the president of Wrocław city for special-talented young people.

She made her professional opera debut in 2008 as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro in Cracow. She also took part in the following opera productions: Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), La Boheme (Musetta), Ariodante, Haendel (Dalinda), Orpheus und Euridice, Gluck (Amor), Alcina, Haendel (Oberto), Csardasfürstin, Kalman (Countess Stasi), Tolomeo ed Alessandro, Scarlatti (Seleuce) and Feuerbrand, Haydn (Columbine). She participated in a wide variety of music festivals, such as: Salzburger Festspiele, BBC Proms, Gut Immling,Wratislavia Cantans, Gaude Mater, International Festival of Modern Music in Jelenia Góra.

Justyna often is involved in songs-recitals, symphonic and oratorio works in the whole Europa. She frequently performed with the famous polish barock orchestera Capella Cracoviensis under the baton of J. T. Adamus. 

She has performed together with many well-known conductors including Paul McCreesh, Andreas Spering, Andrew Parrot, Jan Tomasz Adamus, Andrzej Kosendiak, Jacek Kasprzyk, Ernst Kovacic, Cornelia von Kerssenbrock, Stefan Mohr, Gernot Sahler, Giovani Veneri, Pavel Brohin, Gordon Safari, Jerzy Salwarowski, Krzesimir Dębski, Marek Mos.  

She improved her artistic skills by taking part in numerous masterclasses with Teresa Zylis-Gara, Elisabeth Wilke, Helen Donath, Carol Richardson, Andrzej Dobber, Stefania Toczyska, Helena Łazarska, often gaining recognition diplomas.

The opera singer now lives in Salzburg where she cooperates as a soloist with Salzburgs Concerts Society and string quartet  Amadeus Consort Salzburg (Direction: Konstantin Hiller) and with Mozartchoir (Conductor: Stefan Mohr) where she is responsible for a vocal class.
